Thank you for your interest in our congregation. We created this website to provide you with information about our congregation, our community, and the qualities we value in a minister.

We hope it gives you a clear picture of our congregation and its diverse members. We have also included some information about the local area to help give you an idea of the life that awaits you here in Coastal Georgia, also known as the Golden Isles, a popular tourist destination.

Not only do we have a multi-billion dollar visitor industry, the Golden Isles is also home to a regional medical hub, a well-established manufacturing base, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), and the College of Coastal Georgia. Predictably, the arts and recreational opportunities are abundant.

We look forward to welcoming a minister who is excited to continue the growth our congregation has experienced since its founding in 1995. We anticipate that the minister we hire will play a leading role in attracting enough new members to eventually expand the current half-time ministry to full-time.

We hope the minister we hire will fulfill our congregation’s yearning for stimulating Sunday services as well as pastoral care for our aging congregation. We are eager to welcome a minister who will lead us in our many social justice activities as we live out our UU values in our congregation and the community, and who will help us expand our music and RE programs.

We proudly celebrate our accomplishments as a congregation. We have grown from nine folks meeting informally/occasionally in 1993 to 31 pledging households and numerous friends of UUCG as of June of 2026. Although we are a small congregation, we are proud of our involvement in many social justice activities throughout our community, and the fact that our mortgage was recently paid off—we own our building outright! We are pleased to have many lay-led committees that coordinate the work within our congregation and the community.
